Abbad Yahya was born in the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank of Palestine on February 29, 1988. He studied his preparatory and secondary school stages there. He then moved to the city of Ramallah and joined Birzeit University, where he obtained a BA in Radio and Television and an MA in Sociology. He worked in Arab and international media and research institutions. Ramallah occupies a prominent place in his literary and research work. In his latest novel, “Ramallah”, he traces the history of Ramallah and the cultural, social, political and geographical changes that have taken place in it, following more than 150 years of the city’s history.

Abbad Yahya’s position includes overall supervision of the network’s operational activities, including production, forecasts, and reports. As an executive, he oversees ensuring that Alaraby Television Network operates by the network’s strategy, vision, and mission.

In addition, he manages daily operations, follows up with the network’s directors and department heads on the progress of work, and supervises recruitment, programs, and production activities. His role extends to representing the network to external parties and stakeholders, such as partners, regulatory bodies and advertisers, which requires developing and maintaining key relationships within the media industry.

Abbad Yahya’s role also includes taking strategic steps such as expanding the network’s reach to new audiences, launching new digital platforms, and strengthening partnerships with other media companies. Through his past and current management experience, Abbad Yahya possesses the skill of dynamic leadership of a creative team of professionals and specialists in multiple fields. His most prominent role is to invest in these energies, direct them, and help them produce the best outputs for the Arab audience, within a free, creative, and innovative environment.

Member of the Board of Trustees -  Arab International Academy

As a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab International Academy, Abbad Yahya participates in the deliberations of the Board and contributes to the formulation of the Academy’s strategy, vision, and mission.

In addition, he plays an important role alongside his colleagues on the Board of Trustees in supporting the performance of the executive management, which ensures the continuous development of the Academy. He also assists in executive management in all areas of his expertise based on the Academy’s technical and administrative needs.

He also strives to contribute to the development of the Academy’s image and positioning in the target market by sharing his extensive experience in the field of media and digital marketing. In addition to his keenness to promote positive relationships for the Academy with stakeholders and external partners.

His role as a member of the Board of Trustees also extends to proposing ideas and visions that contribute to the development of the Academy’s methods, tools, and relationships, including strategic and operational ideas, in addition to expressing opinions and evaluating ideas and initiatives proposed by colleagues on the Board of Trustees or by the Academy’s executive management.

Media Sector Director - Fadaat Media

Abbad Yahya’s main task in this position was to ensure that the media projects of the Afkar Media Group were carried out according to the agreed strategies, messages, and visions for these projects.

He played a prominent role in evaluating the performance of the projects from both the administrative and operational aspects, where he worked with the project managers to verify the achievement of the objectives set, monitor performance and help overcome obstacles that the projects might face.

This position also included Abbad Yahya presenting initiatives and proposals that would enhance the group’s digital presence, by suggesting new platforms and projects or developing and improving existing projects within the group.

Editor in Chief -  Ultra Sawt ألترا صوت 

Abbad Yahya supervised the creation and development of the Ultra Sawt platform, from which websites specialized in Arab countries with hot events of interest to the Arab viewers branched out.

He served as Editor-in-Chief, managing the editorial direction of the website, including content creation and team management.

He also worked with the marketing team to promote the site and expand its reach. This also included creating accounts on social media platforms that follow the Ultra Voice website and publish high-quality and distinctive materials covering a wide range of topics of interest to the Arab public, to which more than a thousand young Arab voices contribute.

Abbad Yahya’s role in establishing and managing the editorial office of a successful educational platform was to define the platform’s vision and mission, develop a comprehensive business strategy for it, assemble a competent team to achieve the platform’s goals on the ground, and manage its daily editorial work. In addition to supervising the implementation of effective marketing campaigns to deliver the magazine and its website to the relevant group, building general awareness of the platform among the target audience, building strong relationships with other educational institutions, evaluating progress and making the necessary adjustments that achieve continuous development, creating a positive organizational culture, and maintaining the image of Manhajiyat general methodologies.

CEO of Jeel Media Digital Marketing Agency

As CEO of Jeel Media Digital Marketing Company, Abbad Yahya supervised the company’s establishment and general operations, contributed to setting its vision and plans, and implemented plans to achieve its goals. His role also included achieving Jeel Media’s financial and operational goals, developing new products and services, expanding its business, hiring and managing a team of professionals, and representing the company to external stakeholders.

Researcher at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies

Abbad Yahya’s work as an assistant researcher at the Arab Center included research and writing in his field of expertise within the Center’s publishing windows and research projects. Working on organizing and coordinating the center’s academic conferences and the publications and books that emerge from them. Contributing to writing policy papers and situation assessments as part of his work in the Policy Study Unit. In addition to being assigned special tasks related to the center’s media presence, strengthening its relationship with press institutions, and expanding the spread and reach of its research content in traditional and new media. Abbad Yahya wrote research papers published in the Center’s journals and participated in research contributions in the Center’s conferences in the fields of history and sociology within its specialty in Palestine.

Managing Editor of Tabayyun For Cultural Studies and Critical Theory

Abbad Yahya’s work as editor-in-chief of Tabayyun magazine included planning the preparation of the magazine with its editorial board, receiving research submissions, initially evaluating them, and managing their academic evaluation with the magazine’s specialized referees. Then supervising the work of the editorial team in preparing the materials for the issues, leading to following up on their design and review, and supervising the issuance of their issues. His work also included book reviews and preparing reports on the magazine’s popularity, circulation, and distribution.
